At Wendover Service Dogs, our program is meticulously crafted with your dog's well-being and potential in mind. We welcome dogs aged between 8 weeks and 3 years, with a maximum age limit of 4 years, ensuring that every furry companion can embark on a fulfilling journey towards becoming a reliable service dog. This thoughtful age range guarantees that your dog can make the most of their working life, serving you faithfully for years to come.
Our comprehensive program spans five levels, each carefully designed to build upon the skills and abilities of your canine companion. From Level 1, where young pups take their first steps into the world of training, to Level 5, where advanced techniques are honed to perfection, our structured curriculum ensures steady progress towards service dog proficiency. Priced at $8500 for the entire program, our transparent pricing model includes occasional additional lessons, charged at $100 each, to address specific training needs as they arise.
We understand that every dog is unique, and so are their training requirements. Whether you're starting with a playful puppy eager to learn or have an older dog with existing training experience, our team of experienced trainers will assess your dog's abilities and tailor their placement in the program accordingly. The program cost will be adjusted based on the number of levels your dog needs to complete, ensuring fair and personalized pricing for every participant.

Level 1
Our Level 1 program is a 4-week package that includes two lessons per week.
During this initial stage of training to become a service dog, Level 1 focuses on establishing positive habits and setting your puppy up for future success.
We introduce your puppy to new experiences, sounds, and environments, helping them become comfortable and adaptable. Understanding that each dog learns differently, we tailor our training approach to match your dog's individual needs, ensuring effective communication and learning.
In Level 1, we also begin introducing essential obedience training that will be further developed in subsequent program levels.
Cost: $800 + applicable taxes
Level 2
In our Level 2 program, we offer an immersive 12-week package tailored to maximize your dog's potential. With two lessons per week, spread over the course of three months, we provide ample time for comprehensive learning and skill development.
During this phase, we delve deeper into obedience skills, focusing on refining your dog's abilities and introducing individualized task training specific to your needs.
In Level 2, we also begin introducing pet-friendly public access training, ensuring that your dog develops the necessary confidence and skills to navigate various environments as a service dog.
Furthermore, we familiarize your dog with the equipment they will use throughout their service dog career, ensuring they have positive associations and emotions towards each tool.

Level 3
Our Level 3 program extends over a generous 12-week duration, allowing ample time for skill development and progression, with the added benefit of two lessons per week. Before embarking on Level 3, your beloved canine companion will undergo our rigorous Beginner Public Access Test (B-PAT), a crucial assessment aimed at gauging their readiness for the challenges ahead. This evaluation serves as a pivotal checkpoint, determining whether any skills from Level 2 require reinforcement before advancing further along their journey.
Upon completing the B-PAT assessment, your dog earns the green light to proceed to Level 3, where our training approach takes a significant step forward. Here, we shift our focus to the introduction of non-pet-friendly public access scenarios, an essential aspect of a service dog's education. Through carefully curated exercises and simulations, we ensure that your dog is not only capable of executing obedience commands and tasks but also adept at navigating diverse and potentially challenging public settings with confidence and grace.
Cost: $2400 + applicable taxes
Level 4
Our Level 4 program offers an extensive 24-week journey, featuring 24 lessons led by our dedicated trainers.
To qualify for Level 4, your dog must excel in our Intermediate Public Access Test (I-PAT), demonstrating readiness for advanced training.
Upon passing the I-PAT, you'll advance to Level 4, where you'll receive the In Training vest, granting autonomy for outings to non-pet-friendly locations. Throughout the trainer-led sessions, we prioritize reinforcing positive behaviours, resolving any challenges, and refining task performance to ensure consistent reliability.
This phase is pivotal in strengthening your partnership and preparing you both for the demands of real-world scenarios with confidence and competence.
Cost: $2400 + applicable taxes
Level 5
Level 5 represents our Advanced Public Access Test (A-PAT).
The A-PAT is a comprehensive assessment conducted over multiple days, encompassing various scenarios and situations.
Its purpose is to ensure that your dog is fully prepared to accompany you in public, providing the assistance you require daily.
Upon successfully passing the A-PAT, your dog will receive a Program Completion Certificate and will be authorized to wear a Service Dog vest.
It's important to note that our graduated program dogs are required to undergo the A-PAT every year to maintain our high standards.
While we offer program vests and encourage clients to purchase our custom vests, it is not mandatory and is not included in the cost of the A-PAT.
